Pforzheim University graduates and students in BA Jewellery and MA Design & Future Making invite you to ex-perience a wide range of possible tactile interactions. Sensorial experiences – physical, virtual, internal, external, passive and active inform us who we are and how we interact with each other and our environments. The jewel-lery, everyday objects and interactive installations we are presenting in the Schellens Fabriek this year position themselves in various relationships to the human experience. They inform the jewellery, objects and installations which investigate the real, unreal and the in-between. They range from the handmade phyiscal to the virtually augmented, exploring the span of possible definitions of tactility.
Pforzheim University, School of Design is founded on the still relevant historical jewellery traditions of the city and region. This unique „making“ dna combined with an artistically free approach and critical thinking is com-mitted to asking relevant questions and social responsability, informing our approach to Jewellery, material and technology and drives the practice-based, multidisciplinary and experiential exploring of socially relevant issues in Design & Future Making.
