77Teacups / Contemporary tea rituals of everyday life
The project #77Teacups consists of a collection of 77 teacups: from the elegant classic teacup to the modern giant mug and everything in between. Seven families of seven teacups will be on display reflecting contemporary tea habits.
77 has a special meaning in many cultures and religions. This number represents, among other things, Resilience, Intuition, Awakening, Perfection, and Life Essence. It symbolizes the magic that can arise during tea drinking. In almost all cultures, tea drinking is surrounded by small rituals and togetherness.
Drinking tea together invites conversation, listening to each other, and connecting – something we desperately need in these times.
