ZenPanel

Calm, living light for the home

The technology of giant city billboards, turned into relaxing light for living spaces.

ZenPanel is a peaceful, living artwork for the home. More than 6,000 tiny lights come together in a long, slim panel that shows gentle, ever-changing animations inspired by nature, like drifting jellyfish and gliding koi, with new scenes still to come. Like nature itself, they never move in quite the same way twice.

The panel is designed for interiors, not for attention. Its white housing is nearly a metre wide and fits on a wall above a sofa or in a hallway, where it becomes part of the room rather than a screen in it. Some panels listen and respond to the sound around them, so music or conversation subtly shapes what you see. They can also run custom animations, designed around your own colours or ideas. The ‘Body Parts’ piece shown here was created for a themed exhibition early next year.

There is nothing to set up. ZenPanel is plug-and-play and uses about as much power as a desk lamp.
